Quite a crowd tonight, isn’t it? Everyone seems to know someone.”
“Yes, it’s busier than I expected. Makes it hard to find a quiet spot.”
“Some events drag on longer than planned. Nine days of waiting can feel endless, especially when you’re stuck behind the scenes.”
“That’s true. When things run long, it’s better if only the right person steps in to handle the details at the end.”
男人点点头,从西装内袋拿出一张普通的领事馆活动日程卡递给她,声音还是像在推荐活动:“Here, page seven has some information about the quieter areas. If you feel like taking a short walk later, the service elevator at the west end might be worth checking out. The staff downstairs usually appreciate short and clear answers.”
“Thanks for the suggestion. I might stretch my legs after this drink.”
“When you get down there, just leave your bag on the left side table. The person inside is expecting someone, but he doesn’t know who. You two will need to verify each other carefully. I’ll make sure the hallway stays clear on my side.”
“Nice chatting with you. Hope you enjoy the rest of the evening.”
I heard the event has been running for quite a while backstage. Nine days is a long time to wait for the right person to review the final details.”
Yes… the details can be fragile. They need careful hands. What brings you here tonight?”
A quiet tour of the back areas. Someone mentioned page seven of the schedule, and that the staff downstairs prefer short, clear answers.”
That’s the phrase. They only told me someone would e to connect, but not who or what you look like. Short-long-short at the table, right? You must be the one.”
